Kosei K1 17 x 7.5 Wheels & general tire question
#1
I plan on picking up a set this weekend and to my knowledge they do not have the lug bolts included. Will the OEM lug bolts work for these rims?
What tire sizes are recommended? I was thinking of 215-40-17 (from 205-45-17 from S-lites with runflats). If I went, say, 225-35-17, is that still no effect on the speedometer/odometer??
Thanks.

NSX,
I'm running Kosei K1 16" as my winter wheel. Two things to remember 1) get the small hub caps to make sure that your hubs don't rust due to exposure (they are press in types from the back) and 2) get the hub centering rings, which must be pressed in after putting your hub cap / wheel centers in place. This keeps the whole shebang on the straight and narrow. You will need shorter lugs than stock. Torque to 90 lbs. and enjoy.

When I changed wheels on my 2004 MCS, I changed to 215/45/17 tires. They are only about 1.5% difference in size so speedo, etc. work fine. They do not rub and look much nicer than the factory size. I puchased Goodyear Eagle F1's from the Tirerack. It is a new high performance tire with good treadwear and an excellent price. I have really enjoyed them and the Tirerack has great price and service.
Good luck

How much extra are the hub caps and the centering rings? I noticed that TireRack doesn't mention them during the order process.
Funny, I'm considering the same wheels, Kosei K1 17x7.5s, with Pirelli SnowSport 240s in 205/45, which are really cheap run-flats I guess, for the winter.

I ran a set of 215/45/17 Kumho's on some Kosei K1s (17x7.5) -- after I lowered the car slightly, I had some irritating rubbing issues w/the back tires. Mostly when the car was loaded down with stuff.
I would recommend 215/40/17 w/the K1's instead.
