R56 rotors

I am in the market to replace my brakes. I really don't want a big brake kit but I might get one. I was wondering what everyone thinks are the best rotors and why? I know that if I decide not to upgrade the clipers I am going to get EBC pads be it the redstuff or the bluestuff.

The R56 MCS rotors are actually quite decent. I think there are quite a few choices as compared to a couple of years ago. Centrix, EBC and DBA come to mind.

Are you looking for drilled, slotted or both?

The best EBC pad for the street is green. Then comes red then yellow.

I want slotted. And greenstuff is great for the street but not suitable for any track time. I had yellowstuff on my last car and it was a little too much. Bluestuff just came out and EBC is saying that it will act like a trackpad but with the easy of a street pad.

I never tried blue so I cannot help you there. Generally, I am skeptical about street pads for the track.

Well I am not worried about the pads. I just am not sure what rotors I want.

I run the OEM rotors on the track. They last about 20 track days without warping but there is some heat cracks. I think the OEMs are pretty good, especially for the street. Some friends run DBAs and like them but they only use them for the street.

I ended up just getting Powerslot slotted rotors. I also got EBC redstuff. I plan on getting some Grassroots Garage Brake lines when they open back up on Tuesday.
