Advice please.
I have a new MCS w/ 500 miles and have been waffling between doing two things:
Selling the BLK Crown Spokes w/ RF and using the money towards 17" Konig Feathers.
Saving the money for awhile then and getting a tune.
I know I can get the most money now while the wheels and tires are pretty much new plus the idea of getting rid of big heavy wheels seems like a smart thing to do.
Any other thoughts: waiting for the RFs to wear out...
Thanks,

Saving unsprung weight is always a good idea...it's like adding horsepower. I think the decision will be based on how much you can get for the current wheels. The feathers are relatively cheap at $150 or so each but then with tires, TPMS sensors, install and shipping, you'd need to be at $1200 at least to break even.

1. Check the NAM market and see what other people are selling their crown spokes for. More importantly, check the SOLD crownspokes on the market and see how much the seller sold them for. Take into consideration of tread wear, TPMS, scratches, etc. Currently there are lot of crown spokes and S-lites on sale (including mine!)
2. Crown spoke option on the mini website is 750. Granted you are selling a bad *** black wheel with some pretty good conditioned tires but you got to think of a situation where a buyer is gonna want to spend 950 for a used oem wheels not including tpms + installation + re-balancing.
If its wheels you want... do what I did. Buy the wheels and have the tire shop take out the tpms out of the crown spokes and have them install it with your new wheel with new rubber. The tire shop that I went to removed the pre-existing tpms and replaced it with rubber valves for free. BTW, rubber is expensiiiiivveeee, plus installation? I was shocked to see a lot of the tires that I wanted cost way more than my actual rims. Regardless, once you are done, go ahead and put those bad boys on the market. You dont see too many black crown spokes on the market...

Keep the stockers and roll some non-run-flats. Then tune it after you save the rest of that money up! That's what I am doing and honestly, I love the look of the OEM wheels and the response of the S-lite with run-flat vs. a UHPAS tire in non run-flat is night and day. I am sure the loss of the S-Lite would be a good thing too, but the tune will work for me for now.
