stock ride height 16" wheel needs new tires. size ?

I have 195/55/16 and want to know can I fit 215/50/16 on my 2009 clubman or will it be better to go with 205/50/16? I am looking at the Goodyear Eagle GT, the Conti DWS, Bridgestone Potenza G 019, or the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S.

Any input would be appreciated

I have an R53 so maybe this won't help. I've been running 205-50-16 tires for 4 years without any problems. My MINI is also at stock ride height.

Agreed

205/50/16 is your best bet!
