Mod to R56S brakes, reco for rotors and pads?

Hey guys,

I'm getting a R56s brakes from my friend, since he's upgrading his to Brembo.
Me being so cheap (j/k), I've decided to install his brakes on my 07 MCS Cabrio. Actually the reason is that I need to be able to fit my stok rims, wihch has winter tires on for the snowy seasons.

His rotors has been just turned aroud and pads are fairly new, but the way I am driving I'm sure it will wear off soon, so I am looking for some mod parts.

1. any recommendations for cross-drilled slotted rotors? (there are so many, and i can't decide which one.) I've seen parts numbers for the old JCW cross drilled rotors but haven't seen any places that sells them, but any 294mm*22mm will fit, right?
(plus the best place to get them will be a good tip as well.)

2. if i'm going for the low dust street use with good bites, EBC green is the answer? I've had Axxis and Mintex for my old passat and they were great as well, but it seems like EBC is a thing here. approx $100 is the right price for a set?

3. I know it's better, but is it necessary to change the brake hose? if so, goodridge(?) a fair choice for that? Guys who's installing says that he can mod the hose a bit to fit R53, but kinda sketchy..

Answers will be appreciated.
Safe driving and nice day for all!!
