Taboo,
The BMW dealers have the 15" steel wheels for the MC and MCS, same part number. The price is about the same as Tire Rack, around $40 each. I purchased these from my dealer for my winter set. I also purchased the factory Mini wheel covers for about $15 each. Hope this helps.

>>I bought some wheels witha 40mm offset?? 17x7. 205/40 tires????
If you keep your stock suspension and don't lower your MINI then the 40mm offset is fine. In fact you can go up to 37mm offset with stock suspension in MC or MCS.
But if you lower your car (upgraded lowered springs) then depending on which one you choose you might get some rubbing in the rear wheelwell with 40mm offset so be careful.
Usually with 17x7 wheels the tires will be 215/45-17 or 215/40-17 or the stock size of 205/45-17.
205/40-17 is not a usual choice due to lower max load rating than the stock tire.

What I have gathered from reading the above posts and other posts here at NAM, if you use H-Springs you will be lowering your car, and using the 215/45/17 tires may (probably) will rub. If you want to use the 215/45/17 tires, you may not want to lower the car (i.e., with the H-springs or by other means). Perhaps others here on this sight can give more info on this.

>>1 more question MiniHune, do you think the H springs would rub?? I'm also condering buying different tires (215/45's)? Thanks
MiniMeCoop,
I'm currently running the Konig Imagine's in 17x7 with a 40MM offset and H-Sport springs. I was originally running the 215/40-17 Yokohama Parada Spec II with no rubbing issues at all. I decided to replace them with 215/45-17 Pirelli PZero Nero and I have rubbing at all four corners. I have trimmed the front fender flares and have eliminated the rubbing up front. The rears are still rubbing and I'm having touble identifying the source. I would highly recommend using the 215/40-17 tires if you plan to use a 40MM offset with lowering springs.

Read this tread on offsets and in particular RandyBMC's estimates of offset limits for various stock or lowered MINIs.

Here are some offset issues we have found:
H-Sport springs
Minimum offset number 40mm
H&R springs
Minimum offset number 42mm
Stock springs
Minimum offset number 37mm
The maximum tire sizes have also been a debated number - and the answer to that quesiton is really "it depends". It depends on the tire manufacturer, the camber the car is running, and believe it or not, the car itself (there are significant variations in the bodies of the MINI as far as fitments are concerned). A definite safe bet is a 215/45/16 or 17. A risky tire size is any 225 - but it can be done in certain set-ups. Heck, even a 235 can be used with the right amount of trimming and camber.
--------------------------
So since you are using wheels that are 40mm offset, I'd say that if you use H-sport springs you run the risk of rubbing in the rears even with 215/45-17 tires. Depends some on your passenger loads, tire inflation pressure, driving style, wheel alignment/ amount of rear negative camber, and your particular MINI. I'd say that it would be less hassle to keep your stock springs for now. There may be small variation from brand to brand in tire dimensions even given the same 215/45-17 tire size.
