Tire Advice Needed - RunFlats are bald, time to get NON run flats (2009 Clubman S)
So as the subject says - i'm going to be getting NON run-flats (finally) on my cooper clubman s after about 22k miles or so. I've got the stock 16 rims on now with run-flats - 195,55,16 i THINK?
At any rate, what are people going with 16" wise for NON run flats? Are you finding the best is to stick with the stock tire size, or is there a better tire size with a better ride/better LOOKS that doesnt effect mpg too much.
I want something that LOOKS great, but also rides great and won't go flat if I hit a pot hole
Thanks!

There are literally hundreds of threads on this, with many opinions. To get an informed opinion, you need to add a few parameters to your request.
Shorthand:
Not many tires in 195/55-16. Your selection goes up drastically if you go to 205/50 or 205/55
You're in SoCal, so summer tires would work unless you go to/near the snow, where you'd want all-seasons. Which is it?
Budget - round and rubber for $50, or only the best for $200?
