LOL I'll take the $100 ![Grin](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/grin.gif)
Actually I cannot comment on the size or on a MINI, I have a set of 16" Feathers on my Mazdaspeed Miata.
So far (about 20k on them) I really like them, I'm running Falken Azenis, 215/45-16.
The car had 17" wheels stock, with 40 series 205 tires, I went down in size an higher in profile, to get more sidewall and really 17" wheels are not optimal for Miatas.....more show than go.
They are fairly light, about 4 pounds a piece lighter than the stock Racing Harts on my Mazdaspeed.
Different strokes and all, my wife's MINI is a base R56, if I "upgraded" it would be to 16" wheels, IMHO I think 18" wheels on MINIs are just overkill, anything over 16" is overkill.
I've noticed that with ricer style and "spinners" dying out, the "rubber band 30 series style" tires as a style (unless they are like 325/30's) seems to be dying out too.....great idea IMHO.
Nothing the matter with a bit of extra sidewall if the tire is constructed right....
