Blizzak LM-60 RFT vs. Pirelli 240 Snowsport RFT

So I have secured 17" S-lites for winter rims. My runflat choices on Tirerack in 205/45/r17 are either the Blizzak LM-60 or the Pirelli Winter 240 snowsport.
There are only a few reviews available and no Tirerack in-house review of either tire. Does anyone in the community have first hand experience with either tire?
I am in South-East PA which historically gets moderate snow (last winter we got dumped on, hopefully a fluke).
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael

IMO Blizzak tires are the best out there at present time. I have no experience with that model or runflat snows of any kind. In the past I have used Blizzaks & found them to be great. I'm sure the Pirelli is good too. How do they compare price wise? If the Pirelli was much cheaper than the Blizzak I'd spring for that. If they were close I'd go with the Blizzak.

I had Pirelli Snow carvers, they were great in the snow better than the Blizzak's I have now however their cold dry traction was not as good.

I've run Pirelli winter 190 snowcontrols for the past 3 winters on my cooper, and I've been very happy with them. Good control in the snow, and decent dry handling. Haven't compared them to the blizzaks directly.

Pirelli 240 Snowsport RFT

I have installed Pirelli 240 Snowsport RFT on my JCW couple of days ago and so far dry handling is much better than Dunlop "summer" tires that came with my Mini originally. No snow in Toronto yet.

I had Pirelli 210 before on two rear wheel drive cars ( Mazda RX-8 and Porsche 944) for several years and loved them.

I have run both and find them basically equal, the Pirellis perhaps a little better in the dry and the Blizzaks better in the ice.
