Hi, I just purchased a 2008 Clubman S with All Season tires on it (205/45-17). It handled terrible in last weeks snow. I want to get a snow set including wheels. Please let me know what your suggestions might be. I have heard that Blizzacks are the best. I have no problem going down to 195/55-16. I am looking to be budget concience so have steered away from all new factory wheels. I "think" that if the winters are non run flat, that is OK also. Thanks

I recently purchased a set of 17" alloy wheels with Blizzak LM 60's (runflats) in 205/45-17 for my '04S from Tirerack and am very happy with them. The Blizzaks are performance winter tires so they handle much better than pure snows but still will get me through whatever snow/ice/slush we get here in the PNW. I wanted alloy wheels for the looks but bought the cheapest ($99 each), simplest rims Tirerack sells so I can easily clean them and also have good access through the spokes with a hose for any salt/crud on the brakes.
