Should I get these BBS RX? (E30 fitment)

My friend is selling a set of 17x7 BBS RX ET 35, 4x100 with a 70mm center bore with 205/50 AVS Sports, aka, E30 fitment.

I know the offset is a little lower than stock, but I don't think that will be an issue, I also know I'll need to get hub rings, and I'm not sure where to go for those.

He's asking $770 I think I could probably get them for less since I'm a friend. I'm contemplating selling my stock S lites and runflats, keeping the Hankooks I currently have for when the AVS sports die, and buying the wheels.

What are your thoughts? Is the fitment bad, the price too high, etc?

I'd repaint them silver.

ET35 is great i think. its not a wide wheel so your not going to be having fitment issues. Are you lowered?

i dont know about the price but if thats the look you want go for it.

the hub rings......just google it.

id rock those in a heart beat but for the price it does seem a little bit high... and also you have to get the hubrings... but again it is BBS and if the condition of the wheels are good to excellent .. i would pick it up... taken it that include tires.... good luck on ur decision

No, I'm not lowered... yet. Probably something eventually, but even then, I won't slam the car as it is my daily and I like my spine de-compressed.

I'm not the biggest fan of the AVS100s, but they are still decent tires.

Center bore on the MINI is 56, correct? I'm still thinking about it, it depends on what I can get for my S lines and how much my friend is willing to go on price. I really don't think the gold will look good on my car, so a repaint would have to happen too.

For that price you can have a brand new set of wheels, then mount you Hankooks and away you go...

Check some of the online alloy wheel websites as they have plenty to offer for a good price...

Check this link...

you'd be spending money on repainting them and like Keyse Soze said you could buy a new set of rims the way you like them.

So, you would rather pay more for used wheels than to buy new, just because they were originally $1,400...

Hmm, are you a Congressman by chance?

Having owned a set of RX's back in the 90's, I'd caution you that they're VERY easily bent for a BBS wheel, and they're heavy. I bent 3 of them in about a year in an area with pretty good roads - it just didn't take much to tweak them. I'd have them checked to be sure they're true before agreeing to a price. And I'd definitely get them refinished in silver. But by the time you do all that, they may not be worth the effort and cost involved. Good luck!

No, I'd rather pay more for used wheels than buy new because I'd rather have quality wheels from a quality company-- not some cheap wheels that are heavy and poorly made. I pay for quality, and the best way to get quality is to buy used. Otherwise, I would have purchased a brand new Yaris over a used MINI, but I chose to get the better car.

Yeah, I'll shoot you a PM. I found a set of silver ones for sale locally that I'll likely get over these as that is easier than repainting those ones. I'm not sure if they are originally god, but if they are, it would be damn near a crime to repaint them silver, IMO.
