Running ContiSportContact 3 SSR in Atlanta winter
Hi y'all,
I picked up my Clubman a few weeks ago and I'm wondering how well the ContiSportContact 3 SSR tires are going to be for the winter months in Atlanta. We might MIGHT get 2-3 snowfalls of an inch or two per season. The problem as I see it is that we also will have some icy spots on the road. I suspect that these tires are going to be worthless in the even of an inch of snow or some icy streets.
Can anyone confirm how these or any of the other summer tires are likely to perform in a bit of Atlanta winter? This is my daily driver and I don't have another car to use.
The alternative as I see it is to pick up some take off wheels and put on some decent all season tires. We really do not need dedicated winter tires down here.
Thank you!
Tim
