Well... I supposed it is inevitable with such a short boot and no rear wiper for the window; but I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on whether or not adding mud flaps would help cut down on the debris (dust/dirt/water) that ends up on the boot and rear window.
Mud Flaps will not help with dirty boot or rear window. You just have to clean them regularly. The car looks nicer with the flaps. They are fairly easy to install yourself.
The design of the MINI lends itself quite well to the "dirty boot syndrome". Love it. Embrace it. Get yourself some QD (quick detail) spray and make it a daily ritual.
I keep a spray bottle of winshield washer fluid & shop rag in the boot. When it gets too bad, I just spray & wipe. The window is so small, just a couple of wipes cleans the whole thing.
(Still a pain to do that, but worth it for the cabrio)
