OE Tire Size Sticker?

OE Tire Size Sticker?
So I was 99% set on a set of 15X8 6ULs for my MCS as my street wheel/tire setup, with the idea of using my 17s as my autocross wheels so that I could run in stock class.
I decided to double check the build date of my car to ensure I had 12mm studs, even though I wasn't sure it would matter. 09/05, so I'm good to go on that front.
However, when I looked at the plate, I noticed the tire size sticker below it. It listed the OE tire size as 195/55/16.
Thus, I'm having another one of those moments where I ask myself "what the heck did the previous owner do to this poor car?"
As it is, I have to do a front brake job to get back to "stock" (slotted rotors installed) and he/she apparently installed a set of fog lights, but no switch for them, which is just kind of dumb. Anyway, that's another tangent for another day.
Anyway, my question is mostly blind hope, but I figured I would ask. Does the sticker always say the 16in size or (logically) are 17in-equipped cars marked as such?
I am not looking forward to finding a set of 16X6.5s...
edit: In restrospect, this may not actually matter as I believe the 17"s were a stand-alone option, so this would have no effect on "stock" classification anyway, or at least not require me to do anything else to get to stock.

195/55/16 is the factory size for the factory 6.5X16" wheels. With that tire size sticker, my guess is that's what the car came with from the factory, but you can still run the factory 7X17s and be SCCA stock legal. In fact, you can even run aftermarket ultra-light forged wheels in those same sizes as long as the offsets don't vary from the respective OEM offsets by more .25". You can also run any tire size that you can get to work on those size wheels, and the tires can even be R-comps.
I know that doesn't sound much like "stock", but SCCA considers "stock" to be their first level of preparation, so they also allow a number of other changes, including shocks (but not springs), front (but not rear) anti-sway bar, and cat-back exhaust system (but not headers).
