Hello I'm trying to find out if bf goodrich tires r any good for general driving n for racing. I also wanted to know if anyone out there knw if any brand does there lettering on the walls yellow?
Im just finishing up a set of BF Goodrich G Force Sports that have served me well. Haven't done any racing, but I have gone to the Dragon two or 3 times on them.
Try extreme performance tires such as:
Bridgestone RE 11
Dunlop Z1 star spec
Yokehama AD08
They are pretty good duL purpose tires; street and track but not snow.
Based on research they're all amazing. I do have Star Specs and can't recommend them highly enough.
The Star Specs have lasted 25k for me so far and are on their last legs. Pretty good life for a low tread wear tire considering I didn't treat them well or rotate often either. At the end of their life dry traction is still quite good, but they feel pretty loose and braking performance isn't so hot. Also the cheapest of the three.
Wet traction is surprisingly good unless you hit standing water. If you do you'll slip a lot, especially when they're worn down!
