Depends on what you want to do with the car:

Daily driving
Spirited driving
AutoX
Track

Generally, you can just change the front brake pads to something that fits your purpose and you should be fine.

I generally like Carbotech brake pads. Not cheap but they provide great brake modulation and good heat resistance. For the street, something like the CT 1521 bobcats is good.

IMHO Carbotec pads and stoptech slotted rotors, Use the the "bobcat" pads for daily driving!

I would change out the pads with one set for track and another for the street. Generally stay with one brand for both otherwise there could be some comparability issues.

With rotors, most branded stuff are pretty decent. Go for something with directional vanes versus straight vanes for better cooling.

When you start tracking the car more, this is one area I would look to improve with a good BBK for satety reasons.
