Just for now, I'll post this older picture of my car when it used to have 15x10 inch rims on it. A little goofy in pictures, but I'll make a video of my new 15x12s in a little bit. Just be Patient.

How did the car handle like that? I guess in Hawaii there is no law stating that the tires cannot stick out farther than the fenders.

Im confused on what your getting at with the spare? You have a 16" spare tire (on a narrow spare rim?)? You can use it no matter what size wheels your running

lol

I can't see the pictures but I imagine the tires are kinda stretched with a 255 on a 10" width but 12"? is that even possible with that size? I have 315 on an 11" wide wheel. Why choose such a 'skinny' tire on such a wide wheel?

Where could I get a wider tire than 225/50 on (a) 15" rim(s)? The widest I can find with that profile is 295/50R15. And I'm not sure if that would fit my car/rim

On a 10" that should fit fine, can't comment on how it will interface with the wheel well though these are huge tires for a mini! Just for comparison though my camaro has 9.5" wheels up front with 275s and the sidewall looks pretty vertical, the rear has 11" with 315s and they also look pretty vertical if not slightly wider than the wheel but that's a very common wheel/tire combo for camaros and vettes. Plenty of vettes have a 10.5" wheel with 315s as well.

That's certainly debatable.

295/50 are almost a full 3" taller and 5" wider then stock. If you even manage to mount them on the car you won't be driving anywhere without extreme body modification.

The width is cool but not sure that you are maximizing grip levels with the Toyo Proxes 4. Give Toyo R888 tire a try, even a narrower tire will yield better grip than the 295 winter tires.

Reminds me of the Japanese VIP style...

BTW, are those Jeep rims on your car??? Not my style, but I can't really hate on it. If you like it, you like it. I think it's kinda cool. Really stands out.

Since when is a Toyo Proxes 4 a winter tire? It is an all season tire, but by no means does that mean winter.

And to the OP, if you are really going to run a 12" wide wheel please run a wide body kit.

I'd like the point out that there are MASSIVE differences between VIP-styled cars, and this one.

This yellow mini is apt to commit hari kari and run itself off a cliff.
