Still breaking in the tires, I'm already satisfied: ride is extremely quiet and comfortable, and has now improved in the handling/feel department, too. They no longer feel like they are unsure of where they are going. Definitely a good choice.
Looking for info about changing from RFT's to regular tire and saw this thread. I'd like to make the move but I've read you can't put regular tires on RF wheels. I've read several posts about changing over an no one mentions this. Is it an "urban legand"?

I never heard that before. So I would put it in the "urban legend" category. Putting non-RFs on a MINI's wheels should be no problem.
Thanks for the response. I had a similar response from another user on the MC Enthusiast forum. He changed his over with out a problem. That's what I was hoping to hear!
Must be an urban legend. Many have done the switch without changing rims. And when I had a look at mine (18" JCW) they didn't look any different from any other rim.
By the way, I'm running Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's in a size 215/40-18. Amazing tires and very good in the rain as well, even though they're summer tires.
