205/40 R 18 tire recommendation
#3
davecsumini - you must be referring to the Pirelli Euforia's that are used on the JCW 18" wheels, which are a 205/40-18 run-flat. As Alex implied, Tire Rack doesn't stock those tires. Also, they are the only tire in that size I've ever heard of. Go for a 215/35-18 instead.

I purchased the Toyo's thru my local Discount Tire store. The store did not have the tires in stock but told me that they could get either brand tire in that size and I choose the Toyo's.

Wider is better but 225s are difficult to fit without rubbing. There have been a few who've gone the 225 route but only in 15" with stock height. I would bet on a random combination of wheel and 225 tire rubbing somewhere. The last set-up I heard of was 15x7 SSRs with225/45 Hoosiers. Not your typical street config.

I stand corrected - thanks for the input!
Doc D-n-B; you can stuff a 225/35-18 under the arches if you're using the right wheel offset and tire sidewall profile, however I'd still expect some rubbing. There just isn't that much room under the arches to cram huge tires and have it work.
