Front Brake Pad Change a Cinch

I changed my front brake pads today on my 2008 R56S. I have never attempted to change brake pads before on an automobile.

I bought a set of EBC Ultimax pads and a new sensor for about $80.00. Thats $90.00 cheaper then from the dealer. It took me about 45 minutes from start to finish and i really took my time. i was surprised how easy it was .

I put "Gandalf" up on jack stands.
I removed the tires.
I removed both bolts on the caliber.
Pulled the caliber off the pads.
Repleced the pads with the sensor attached.
Replaced the calibe, added anti squeal gel and replaced bolts.
Unpluged old sensor and plug in new sensor.
Reinstalled wheels.
Lowered Gandalf and pummped brake pedal a couple of times.
45 minutes .

I took Gandalf on a long stretch of road and bedded the pads. I must say it was Most Enjoyable .

You might want to consider replacing your brake fluid with some newer fluid.
