I have the 16" v-spoke wheels (white). I did some searching and it sounds like they should just pop off. Someone said that the little bent wire tool in the little tool kit should hook into one of the little holes in the wheel cap and pull it off. However, when I do that, the cap just seem to bend outwards but hangs on tenaciously. I'm afraid to pull too hard 'cause it seems like it is going to break! Please help!

moved to Tires, Wheels & Brakes...by d-mini-ero

I've always removed the caps from the inside of the wheel and simply pop them out.
This unfortunately requires that the wheels be off.
I've ruined many wheel caps doing it from the front... from the rear I find to be ...much safer

Peace,
D

Thanks for the quick reply...but wait a sec. How do I remove the wheel without removing the caps first? (The wheel nuts are behind the caps, right? )

You guessed it. The wheel bolts are behind the caps on the V spokes. Take a look in the owners manual. They should pop out by inserting the tool or a screwdriver in the slot at the edge of the cap. They will come off, and you won't damage them.

you do use that bent tool like you said, trying lifting one side, then place a screwdriver or something between the cap and rim, then lift the other side. It should come off easily
