hey everyone

So im newer to the Mini scene (used to driving VW's) and always had offsets et34 to et38 ... what fits for a MINI? i used tire rack and saw the post on here and most wheels that are 17's and 16's fit et42 to et45. Was wondering though could an et38 fit on a mini? a friend of mine has BBS RX that were on his Corrado and they are et38 - would this fit on a Mini 16" or 17" ? thank you for the responses.

 

Stock offset on an R53 with 16 X 6.5 wheels is 48mm positive offset. I understand that anything down to 35mm will fit, but I don't have experience with anything less than stock. TireRack can probably help with what fits.

 

From what I understand, the R53 can fit a 30 positive offset on an 8 inch wide wheel just fine. Anything less than that, expect some poke (of lots of poke) and some fitment that only can be corrected with camber plates and some serious suspension work!
