Side shot, full car view.

Closer view of front.

Initial impressions:

When I first saw the car, it obviously looked completely different. When back out of the parking spot, I was AMAZED at how much less force it took to turn the steering wheel. The car feels wider and more stable, too, which is due to the wheels having 10mm less offset than the stock ones.

Acceleration seemed brisker - got in the powerband quicker from what I could tell. Feels more spirited - that's all can say at this point. I thought going from the stock tires to ES100's was a difference, but that's nothing compared to the difference the new, extremely light wheels made. Can't wait for auto-x season!

Nice set up! I've had mine for over a month (polished with Falken 512s) on a CR MCS - big difference from the S-lites with runflats with regards to response from steering and acceleration. Plus I really needed the 512's driving in 4 snowstorms now.

Nice wheels, I saved 12lbs. per corner with that combination for a total of 48lbs.
This is my 2nd set of Rota's, the first set are 15'X6.5x38mm4x100 Rota Circuit 8's, they are going on for AutoX. My sig list's the 16's for summer wear and the 17" S light's w/allseasons for winter wear. They make a big difference IMO.

16 x 7, 4x100, +40 offset...

When we weighed the new Rota's on a digital scale, it registered 13.21 pounds per rim. The Yoko ES100's were 20.4, as Alex posted a long time ago. Combined weight = 33.61!

Considering the R83's were 20.5 pounds each (I weighed them after I took them off) and the original runflats were 22.58, that's almost 9.5 pounds per corner...

The weather has been pretty grubby here in the Balto/Wash area. I had decided to replace my OEM tires and rims (Slites with RunFlat Goodyear RS-A 205/45/17) and Peter at Rspeed in Atlanta made me a good deal on shiny, polished 16" Rota Slipstreams.

I chose to put on Falken Ziex ZE512s (205/50/16) as an all weather compromise. The combo arrived fine from Peter (although the UPS driver bitched about a 140lb delivery on my long country driveway) just in time for the weather to turn foul:

I really like the polished slipstreams, and saving 13 pounds per corner over the S-lites and runflats works for me.
