I like the style and the attractive price. I'm just wondering about the strength and durability of this rim.

Any info would be much appreciated!

TIA

Very nice wheels. I have no idea of reliability but the weight is hefty.
Take a look at these. At $135 each they seem like a great alternative.

16.5 pounds for a 17x7 is pretty light. and the price is $560 for a set, also not bad. They are a nice looking SSR knock-off.

Exactly...

I have the SSR comps on my M3. Very nice rim - a little pricey, but nice and light.

Since the coop is my daily beater i wanted to get a decent lighter rim...

These might be a winner!

No. It looks like several other wheels that don't look good on a MINI.

I don't know about that wheel specifically, but Velox has some very strong wheels. i was thinking about getting the PG-REV10s for a while, (too expensive - $480 a wheel) and they were like 110% stronger than an average wheel and weighed only 11.5 lbs. So, the brand has some quality behind it.

huh, you're right, they looks like my SSR comps.

a good alternative to the Rota Grids are the Motegi FF6.
They're a little heavier, but for the commute, i don't think
you'll be able to tell any difference.

I had some wheels that looked almost exactly like those.
In the end I didnt like how they turned out with the look of the car.
It was a good idea on paper. I returned the wheels.

here is a picture

I can see why you returned the wheels. The polished rims make it look as if you are running whitewall tires.

If you like it get it, I think they look fine but my opinion is mine and you have to live with the car. My only advise is that wheels can be the center of attention or balance out the car I think the later is better. If you look at what d-mini-ero did with his wheels you can see that he has a larger polished metal area on the outside with the polished metal bolts complimenting it very nicely his spokes are also bigger and it pulls the metal look together, great look.

The wheel you have chosen has a much more open design allowing you to see more of the brake and caliper which I would dress up a little so you could see it more. If you look at RomhoG's picture I agree with him that the look is off and I think its because there is just too much black in the wheel your wheels look to be more dark metallic gray and that would avoid that problem combined with a brake dress up, I would go with a metal look no colors, it will look kick ***.

Anyway thats my two cents, my only request is don't go for that lincoln navigator with the gaudy spinning chrome wheels look, I am not sure that would go with the soul of the MINI.
