I put on my R90's on Saturday since it was getting pretty warm out
here in chicago. it has the factory SP9000DSST's.

I pumped up the air to 32psi cold and took it out for a spin. The ride was
quiet and no sign of any flat spotting as the wheelset was stacked up on my
wheel carrier thingie I made. The runflats actually felt pretty good.

The next day (Sunday) i took out my MCS for another spin and Im already
hearing the slight thump rhythm from flat spotting. I have an overly sensitive
ear due to my music recording hobby back in the days. My wife couldn't hear it,
but still, it's buggin me a bit cause none of my other tires make that noise unless
it was parked more than 3 weeks at low psi...even so, the noise would go away
within about 1.5hour drive. On the DSST, they don't seem to go away that fast.

The tires do not make the car vibrate in anyway....its just the noise.

Is this normal on all DSST tires? I pumped it up to 34psi cold just in case
this morning. Maybe i should go up to 36psi cold... ?

I would take the car to a tire store and have them check the balance in all four tires and rims, just in case. It could be one of the tires has a slight bump, causing the noise.

For recommended air pressures, refer to the factory sticker located in the lower driver's side door jamb. Look at the chart and locate your tire type, size and width. The chart provides minimum PSI cold pressures for a car with 2 passengers only or fully loaded. Check what is the maximum pressure allowed on a fully loaded car and use that pressure. I suspect it will be around 35 psi cold.

My MCS came with 16" Dunlop SP5000 DSST tires and I don't have any noises or other problems with them. I am still riding them on the stock 16" V-spoke R84 silver wheels. I typically keep all 4 corners at 32 PSI cold as I very rarely carry more than 2 passengers.

Keep in mind that is dangerous to ride on underflated or overinflated tires.

As a follow up, im at 34psi and let the car sit about 36 hours before taking
the car out this morning. Seems like the tires like higher psi as i didn't
hear the flat spotting noise as much.

Im going to pump it up to 35.5psi cold as if i was going to carry a full load.

Anyway, if you're on SP9000DSST's, i recommend high psi even if its only
you and perhaps one passenger in the car.
