I imported my 03 BRG MCS to El Salvador and have had it here for 6 months. No problems, until the ABS and DSC light came on. No dealer here so I took it to a trustworthy and experienced mechanic who has told me that the ABS pump is leaking and the system does not have enough pressure. The initial diagnosis is that the pump needs to be replaced.
Despite this problem, the brakes are working fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this problem? Any idea as to other places where I can purchase an ABS pump (new or used)?

thanks

Is the light on all the time?

I too had a problem with my brakes, over six months ago. First my dealer replaced the master brake cylinder, unsure if that was the proper diagnosis. If the master brake cylinder needs to be replaced be sure to order the proper one. One model has an extra opening for DSC, the other does not.

As I said I am not sure if that was the proper diagnosis or not as I later had another issue with my brakes. My ASC distribution box was leaking, small metal box in engine bay with hard brakes lines running to it (passenger side near the cowl). I could visually see the leaked fluid. A couple brake lines needed to be replace as well.

Don't know if the two faults are related, but maybe they can help you with your troubleshooting.
