[R53]ET+25, 15x8.0... possible?

I'm bad with the offset thing... Can a R53 put on such wheels without rolling the fenders?

+25et will stick out a bit. a 15x7.5 +40et would be a better fit.

A 15x8 et +25 will stick out past the fender lip.The rim will not rub the fender but the tire will.the smallest tire I could find was a 195/45/15 on tire rack.that narrow of a tire would look stupid on a 8 inch rim.

why not go to tire rack and look at rims that fit and take note of the offset and width ,that should help when you are researching rims for your r53.

They don't have any 15inch rims there I think? And how does width affect the et? When the wheel is wider the et has to be larger?

Tire rack shows 62 15 inch rims for a r53

15x7 et +35mm with a 195/60/15 will fit

15x8 et25 can definitely fit if you want them too. Would definitely require careful planning but its not a crazy fit by any means. The rim would extend past the plane of the fender around 5mm(not a lot).

My 17x8 et30 fit fine, zero rubbing.

Oh man thank you for giving me hope when I felt hopeless
What kind of careful planning should I need? For example?

Ride height, camber, tire size, fender trimming, etc are all interrelated and make all the difference when fitting an aggressive wheel.

it's already lowered and I expect to put on thinner tires...
and fender trimming - is there a degree of it? how much should i tell the shop to trim?
I wouldn't like to have negative camber thou... they look good but never like to have them

Lowered how much? Either 205/50/15 or 195/50/15 seem like decent candidates.

I am not talking about a lot of camber, maybe 1-2 degrees.

The fender trimming I am referring to can be done by anybody with a razor blade in a few minutes. Just removing the inside lip of the plastic fender arch.

Unfortunately there is no exact science to this. From what I know about wheel tire fit on Minis with the right combination of the things mentioned above you should be able to fit them.
