Summer shoes on.
Still might get them powdercoated a more atomic orange, right now they look a little too much like a pearl finish orange, in the sun they go a little too gold for me.
Thanks a ton for these photos. I have 18x7.5" BBS RC on my GTI and I've looked everywhere for photos of 215/40R18 Michelin PSS but your pics are the only ones I've come by. They look like they have the perfect amount of roundness/stretch for an OEM+ fitment, so I've just ordered a set to replace my 225/40R18 kumhos

Good to hear! I'm super happy with this set-up Good luck with yours!
Not a gearhead, don't usually do any aftermarket stuff.
But I live in SoCal, land of potholes, and have had enough of bending the stock 17" Mini rims and buying replacements (three).
After rooting around here and elsewhere I switched to 16" rims and 205/55 R16s. I had no idea how hard it was to find simple rim designs in this size--I ordered rims five different times from various online sources, each wheel was either discontinued or back ordered. I'm not a fan of multiple spokes or weird colors. I'm interested in what others think of the look.
I'm also done with run flats. After more research I decided on the BFG G-Force Sport Comp-2. Whole package at Grand American Tires in Newhall was 1K.
This is only day four, but I'm amazed at how much better everything is. I will check in after a few months with a progress report.
