G2 Caliper Paint
Does anyone know if 1 of these kits will do all four of the stock calipers on an 04 MCS or should I purchase 2 kits?

In addition, does anyone know of an affordable brake pad that doesn't kick out as much dust as OEM pads? Thanks

Since that's a brush on kit, it's more than enough to do all 4 calipers. The rear ones are tiny anyway LOL.
As for pads, I am running the Stoptech Street Performance pads and they dust much less than the stockers even when I was bedding them in and the first couple hundred miles. They also stop as good, if not better.

I haven't used the G2 Caliper Paint but I have used Dupli-Color / Red high performance caliper brake paint kit on numerous cars. One kit is enough to do a couple cars or save for re-coats in a couple years. The kits are $19.99 at Autozone. It takes a couple coats to give good coverage and gloss but it's not difficult. I have had it on my '36 Chevy calipers for ~10 years w/ one re-coat (only ~1,000 miles or so / year) and 2.5 years on my DD MCS w/ one re-coat last month when I did a brake job. The calipers on my MCS stilled looked good after 2 years even with NY winters but I decided to freshen them up since I had everything apart.

I did my calipers with G-2 this last christmas season. One kit is more than enough. If I remember right the instructions said two coats. I did four and had some left over. The kit does not give you enough brake cleaner however but that is an easy fix at any auto store. Get them clean!!!!. Also the brush provided sucks. I used acid brush, made it much easier to get into small areas. Taike the calipers off to clean and remount to paint. I tried to do one unmounted and that just didn't work. At least for me. Mine have bee on since Dec in the salt air down her and look great. Should you have any question give me a call 850-496-5336
