I am sure that this question has been asked about a hundred times, but I want to ask anyway.

I want to get rid of the run-flat tires on my 04 MC (16" , Sport Package). I searched Tire Rack and found only one tire (Firestone) available in the OEM size. And it gets not so great reviews.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

For the record, I want to keep my standard wheels.

Use 205/50 R16 instead.

You will find a lot more tires to choose from. The diameter is very close to stock.

A lot of people (including Alex @ TireRack) speak very highly of the Bridgestone S-03 in a 205/50R16. I am getting the BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW in 215/50R16. A Bit cheaper and a bit bigger footprint, 10% bigger than stock (195) .

Will this change make the speedometer reading different?

I was using Tire Rack as a search tool. I will be shopping around.

[commercial]I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of tires and rims from TireRack and have never had an issue that they did not make right immediately. Besides being a forum and NAM sponsor, Alex will always give you the straight answer even on products he does not sell. He is also a great guy to talk to about NSXs, racing, and life in general. I have purchased tires and rims locally and from Hoosier Tom, but I always know that with TireRack in general, and Alex in paricular, I will not be treated as an order number.[/commercial]

Again, thanks for the info. I have actually used Tire Rack for wheels and tires on my former car (rare Mercedes 190e 2.6 Sportline) and had no trouble at all.
