OK...please don't make too much fun. The manual says 33 psi for a MCS. The sidewall of the (performance) tire says something like 51 psi. That's quite a difference. How much should my tires be inflated?

keep it at 33 psi...

the 51psi that the tire says is the max tire pressure the tire can hold. do not exceed the max pressure that a tire can hold. hope that helps

Take a look at the sticker in the door. It has different pressures depending on tire size and load of the vehicle. Use this as a guide.

The number on the sidewall is the tire manufacturer's "Maximum Inflation Pressure" which is used for calculating maximum tire load and speed, and is applicable to any vehicle the tire is used on, not just the MINI.
