Anyone ever painted their valve stems? (pics added)
I have a set of silver colored TPMS sensors and valves from Tirerack that are getting installed on a set of gloss black wheels this weekend.
Has anyone ever painted their valve stems?
I really don't like the silver stems and was hoping to be able to spray them black before I have them installed.

I had some gloss black spray paint on the shelf, so I figured I'd give it a try.
Here's the short version:
Disassembled stems, scuffed up with a 3M pad so the paint will stick
Gave everything a couple light coats, trying to avoid the threads at the bottom.
Baked them in the sun for a couple hours
Done
They came out pretty decent for the work involved. They aren't perfect, but they'll blend in with the new wheels much better
Oh yeah, I'll be putting different caps on them too.
