everyone wishes they could afford the HRE's, BBS's, and other expensive wheel but then see what the best looking 4x100 wheel there is no matter how much its cost. personnally this in mine. BBS LM's yes you can get them in 4x100 and in a mini offset but for 750 bucks. haha here

For half the price or so, you can get the MINI branded BBS R-90's.

I am a real sucker for BBS wheels, and just had to have them no matter what the cost was when I bought my MINI

i am a big fan of the work wheels. to bad for the vs-xx the wheel are custom made and cost about 550 bucks for 18in and 500bucks for 17in. there sweet wheels at that. i am really debating if i should go with something in a high price that way i will not regert getting gettting them. i like the RGR a lot but to me it doesnt look all that great on a mini. personnally. if you are looking at RGR you might want to look at PIAA wheel they make a good looking wheel in 18in for about 300 bucks a wheel. thanks. keep the wheels coming..

All of these are extremely nice looking wheels and I too am a sucker for BBS and will probably go with the 16" version when I get my MC.

However, not to rain on anybody's parade and sorry in advance for taking the thread in another direction, but -- those wheels only look good when they're round. I live in Chicago and sometimes our roads are, how shall I say it guys, less than perfect. I actually bent the rims (yes, they were properly inflated) on a SAAB 9000 so bad my insurance bought me a new set. (don't ask)

So, with that in mind, what are the thoughts on which wheels for the MINI not only look great, don't weigh a ton, but stand up to rough roads (with proper inflaction)?

Several other threads said the stock 7 (8?) holes are the lightest. Does that mean they bend the easiest? What about the BBS R-90s?

I think the OZ's look real good on the mcs too. in fact,
I can't make up my mind between that and the K1's right now.

Going from the 16" V-spokes to the 15" 7holes made a HUGE difference in acceleration, braking and even my mpg.

I've hit many pot holes and bumps on the road and I still haven't bent one

ken, I know those are what I really want, which kills me. Someone else posted a pic of some Enkeis which look similar to the BBS, but I dunno....luckily March / April in NJ is still questionable weather for true summer tires and such. Hopefully by end of April, they'll be back in stock.

17" mesh wheels are definitely the way to go.

until then, I'll just enjoy my 17" R90's. they look great, but
quite heavy especially with the runflats.

I've always liked the SSR Comp's, but it might be because I appreciate functionality (and light weight).
