SSR wheels

Did anyone get the SSR Comp R's? I remember waiting for almost a year for these to come out and I haven't seen any pictures of them on anyone's Mini.
I would also like to see pics of any SSR rims, GT7's, GT1's, SSR Comp, etc. Thanks.
I was sold on getting 16 inch rims for performance and I was also sold on getting the GT1's but I don't really like them in a 16 inch size. They look much better imo in 17 inch size. But then they are more expensive and heavier so I have been looking to maybe just go all performance and get 16's with the Comp series. Wow this is confusing stuff.

I have the Comp Rs they came in just past the nick of time for Topeka. I use mine only for autcross and a few other of the west coast drivers have them. They are beefier than the first set of SSR Comps I bought in 2000, and about .5 pounds heavier than a 7" wide SSR. The comps do not have or use center caps.

yes i have seen your car before. do you have any other pics. for some reason i cant tell how much i like the 16's from those pics.
I know the difference isn't much from the 17's to 16's with the GT1's but my decision isn't between them. It is between SSR GT1's in 17 or going purely for weight and get SSR Comps. Unless I see more pics of your car and it changes my mind. I take so long to make a decision it is sickening. Just got a cell phone and I am 24. Been out of school for 2 years and can't decide if I want to go back, or what to go back for. Sheesh.

Go to the following site and you'll find links to a portfolio of 16" SSR GT1's -- the right side of the car with "MINI" hub emblems covering up the "SSR" hub emblems:

I thought the point of the SSR Comp R's was that they were going to be lighter than the other Comps? Hence no center cap?
The reason for no center cap is we have to take them off when we race.

Does anyone have any pics of the SSR GT7's? or the SSR Comps in silver on a Red/White MINI? I usually see the Comps in anthracite which doesnt go well with the bright red and white color combo. I am real close to deciding now. It is between the GT1's, the Silver GT7's, or the silver SSR comps. If I go with the comps it will be for all performance and will get the 16's. Otherwise the GT1's are beautiful and still pretty light. I haven't seen the GT7's on any car but they look very nice so i would like to see what they look like on a MINI before making a purchase if I could.
I really appreciate your input. Show or Go? I will be autocrossing probably once a month starting in May. Thanks

Let me add to the confusion with the pros and cons of the tires listed-
Falken Azeni
+
Cost
Grip, when dry and cool
Looks
-
Weight a 15" Azeni is 6 lbs heavier than a 16" Hoosier
Grip, when wet and hot
Yoko
+
Cost
TireRack sells them
Grip close to an Azeni, but does not get greasy at high temps
-
More $ than Azeni
Softer turn in
Not as good as the tire they replaced AVS Intermediates
Kumho Ecsta MX
+
Price
Grip
Contingency money at Nat'l tours
TireRack sells them
-
Weight
Toyo T1s (not FZ4)
+
Weight
Looks
-
Turn in a little soft. Ok way soft compared to run flats
Still waiting on the Advan Neovas supposed Azeni grip w/ T1 weight!

Just to add more
I have the 16x7.5 SSR silver comps, with the polished lip. For STX, this is a decent setup. I am running the bridgestone s03's. They are a really good tire, but a wee bit spendy. The wet traction is phenominal and the dry traction is quite good. They do get a bit greasy when you dump a lot of heat in them, but nothing dramatic.
The Comp t/a kd s3 whatever, is suppposed to be the new shiznit tire. I cant find the pics of my car with the rims. But they do look sweet.

I also have the S03s, and they are my favorite tire I've ever driven. As for the Toyo FZ4s, I have heard they are a few notches below the T1Ss, but I have no first hand experience with them. The Azeni are THE tire to have in STS or STX. Some of the Kuhmo STS and STX drivers would probally be on Azeni if not for contigency $$$. For the price you can almost not loose w/Azeni, and if you hate them you can sell them quickly and move on.

what about these advan neovos? any more info as to when they are coming out?
so what is your opinion on which rubber you like best?
Are the Kumho Ectsa supra the same as Kumho MX? European Car was really raving about these Kumho's and said you would be hard pressed to find better rubber for the price. Then again they might say the same for the Azenis.
Still no pics of GT7's huh? bummer. Want to make a decision within the next three weeks. More pics of all SSR's appreciated. Thanks
