I have been trying to decide for months which tires to get to replace the 16 inch runflats on our two MCS. After a number of posts on NAM and probably five sets of questions sent to Alex at the Tire Rack, I finally decided....well almost.

I knew I wanted 205 x 45 x 17 Yokohama AVS ES-100's for my wife's car; and I needed to replace the 10 year old Yoko AVS Intermediates on my 73 911S-- the ES- 100's were the obvious answer as well, given the price for 16 inch tires, but I was torn between the Yoko's and Bridgestone Pole Position S-03's for my JCW MCS.
Finally, after spending about 10 minutes on the phone with Alex, I went with the S-03's , 215 x 45 x 17 (on Team Dynamics Pro Comp wheels from Outmotoring)

After giving Alex all the credit card information on Thursday, the tires were ordered, and at 2:29 PST I received a confirming email from the Tire Rack, followed by another email at 4:27 PM that the tires had been shipped. Alex had said I'd probably receive the tires on Tuesday of next week.

Well, at 6:30 PM Friday as we were sitting down to dinner, I caught a glimpse of a UPS truck backing into my driveway. Could it be? Yep. The rear doors swung open and out came 12 tires, rolling up and into my garage. Had to be some kind of a record. One day delivery for UPS at 3 day rates!

Thank you Alex, Tire Rack, and UPS for such great service. Guess I know where I'll be spending tomorrow, hustling cars back and forth from the tire shop.

Another kudos to Alex:
Just got my Koni's and H-sport springs (yup they carry H-sport springs, just call alex and ask for them) installed after ordering them from Alex at Tire rack. One of the warehouse locations decided to get creative with my mailing address, Alex tracked the problem, fixed it and the parts all showed up on time. This is awesome customer service!!!!!!!!

If tire rack sells it, buy from them.

Now if they would just carry azenis.....

I agree that the Alex and Tire Rack are awesome just as much as I wish they sold the Falken Azenis!
