So it was finally nice here in NJ. I detailed the car and took some photos with the new wheels. Comments are more than welcome. Thanks.

And this one converted to BW. I personally enjoy BW photos more, but you can not see the anthracite of the wheels unless taken in color.

Nicely done. Good choice. I as well have anthrasite wheels ( Konig Holes series ) to go with my double Dark Silver MCS, and like it. Except at night when they look too blacked out. I may just touch up some edges of the spokes to brighten up the rims a little.
She's lookin good, keep 'er up.
Cheers,

Do you ever get together with others in the area. I would love to hangout sometime with other MINI owners, hear stories, etc...

MINI-MadMan, I know what you are talking about at night with the wheels. I was thinking the same thing when I first put them on. But, I am kinda liking it. I love how they seem to change into something totally different with the different lighting.

slapey - if you check out New York MINI, it covers the tri-state area, different runs & events. Pretty new site, good way to keep up with going - ons around NJ/NY/CT. Helix in Philly had a great rally / bbq last Saturday. But I'm always up for short drives, or just meeting somewhere to talk shop....

I will check out the site. I am always down for hanging out and "talking shop." I was going to go to the MiniCup at Helix last week as well, but I had something I could not get out of

As for the photos, I somewhat liked them. But, I want to spend an entire day doing it to get it right. Graduating with a photo degree can sometimes be a pain in the a**.

I am loving the new rubber. They are just about as quiet as stock runflats, and stick to the asphalt like no ones business. I certainly have much more confidence going into a corner than I did before. I personally would highly recommend the tires...although I have not have much experience in the rain yet. (just some slight drizzle)

To be honest, that is all I have done since mid December when I picked the car up. 3 months, 7200 miles. At this rate, the warranty MIGHT last 2 years.

Very nice! I just cant make up my mind between Flik Wasp-A or ASA AR1 rims. Slapey, what is the size of your wheels? I guess 18" What is your tires size?

The wheels are actually 17" and I am running 204/45/17. I think the angle of the photos may have thrown you off in regards to the size.

Slapey,

Nice wheels! I'm looking at a pair of anthracites to go with my Dark Silver MCS (ordered last Monday).

Did you go with edgeracing.com for your bundle? If so, any comments on service, etc. would be very helpful. Thanks!

Absolutely beautiful with the color-match of the car, GOOD STUFF! Make sure you have good wheel-locks on them (an alarm w/tilt sensor isn't a bad idea either). So so hoodlums don't heist your rims!

May I ask how much and where did you order them? I believe you did not lower the car right?

buckass936,
Here is a thread about my wheel buying experience. I will just let the thread speak for itself
My experience here

zfxr,
I do have to buy some wheel locks. Although theft is not a big issue where I live, I do not want to chance it. Anyone know any good places to order from on the web?

MyPocketRocket,
I ordered the wheels from EdgeRacing. The package was a bit over 900 after shipping (should have been more, refer to thread above). And, no, the car is not lowered. The only reason I would lower the car is if I did not like the suspension in the car...and I do. Maybe one day it will get done, but I might as well enjoy it stock for at least 6 months. I did pay for it. Plus, I am not sure I want to scrape and rub everywhere I go (live in a hilly area)

I'm thinking to get these rims with 215/45/17" tires. Do you have some room left between your tires and fenders? Do you have more pictures of your car like from a distance or from the rear? I would love to see more..
