Konig wheels

I know a lot of people here are concerned with wheel weight and such but I've always liked there rims, owned four sets already, just want to know how the mini community feels about this wheel brand..

On my first MINI I replaced the stock 17" S-Lites with 16" Konig Holes with 215/50-16 tires. The wheels weighed about 16 lbs. I had them for several years with no problems. Pretty good wheel.

I have two sets, Feathers (15lbs.) for the summer and Rush's (19lbs.) for the winter. On the one hand, yes, they are cheap cast crap from Taiwan, but I haven't had any problems with the finish, or anything like that. Decent, affordable, light weight wheels.

I had a friend that had Konig Feathers in a 17" size that did not do so well when crossing a rail road crossing at 45 mph. He ended up bending one of the rims . Just so you know.

My opinion...they are a good mid-range wheel with some good styles too.

Villains pop up on Craigslist and ebay every so often, keep looking! Or, give a local discount tire a call and ask them about what they may have hanging out in their warehouse

I recently found out while buying new tires that my old Honda wheels that I have been running have finally been bent (probably the guy who was valet at the hotel where I took a nosedive into a pothole ) So...I am going to try my luck on a set of Feathers methinks. For the money, I think they are the logical choice over RPF1 since these will run me nearly 600 less for a set, still look sharp, and are only marginally heavier. +1 for Konig
