Are these worth $150?

Local Craigslist ad asking $150 for these. Seller states: "wheels are in good shape a few ruff spots but nothing crazy". Not sure what that means.

What are the thoughts on price. I am a n00b so any advise is appreciated. Considering sanding and filling "ruff spots" and painting black.

Thanks,
-Steven

as long as the wheels have no bends or anything in them then i think it's a pretty good deal for some nice oem wheels. but i haven't seen the rough spots so i cant really judge. going by that wheel though i say it's not bad at all

Anymore pics of the rough spots? Maybe some scuff marks from the curb...

I sold my bridgespokes with a few minor curb marks for $200. Didn't even have those swag JCW centercaps.

that seems like a pretty good deal. Sand them down and paint them up, they will look fantastic. If there are some scratches your best bet, at least through my experience, is to use a few coats of self-etching primer. Really fills in some minor-medium road rash without adding too much weight.

That is the only pic advertised. It is a craigslist ad. I can only assume it is curb rash that he is speaking of.

That is precisely what I had in mind! For under $200 I could have a like new set of 17s.

I just bought a set of 17's myself and the tires on them are 205/40-17. I can imagine it will give a fairly rough ride and plan on going up to 205/45 which is the stock size I believe.

Hopefully the increase in size helps smooth out the bumps a little bit. Let me know what you end up doing!

Going to non-runflats makes a noticeable difference too. Both in weight and stiffness.

Lol...funny. I just purchased my Mini Saturday and bought those exact wheels Sunday. Ended up being just minor curb rash and talked him down a bit on price. I wasn't sure if I got a good deal or not - looks like I did.
