Bit the bullet and bought new tires
So it's been a year since I bought my "new to me" 2008 Clubman and it had pretty not so worn out 195/55R16 Yokohama Avid Envigors. But 30,000 miles later they are worn out and need replacing (I used to work in Pittsburgh during the week and "live" in Cleveland on weekends.. Now live in Cleveland full time and work in Cleveland).
Because I live in the Cleveland area (specifically the East Side aka snow belt) I went with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS and I also went up to the 205/55ZR16 size in hopes I'll get a better/quieter ride (I attribute the noise to worn out tread). Since I already needed new A/S tires I figured it would have been a waste of money to purchase dedicated snow tires.
I was originally going to go with Kuhmo Ecsta 4X at my original sizes but decided to go with the wider tire for better grip and to open up my options on tires more. Hopefully I won't regret it!
