Jcw brake rotors

My MCS needs new rotors. Is it worth the extra expense to upgrade to jcw rotors?

If you have JCW calipers then yes. If you don't they wont fit. R56 MCS can use the R53 JCW rotors.

You can use the R53 JCW rotors on your stock R56 MCS. Both discs are 294MM x 22MM but the R53 JCW discs are slotted and cross drilled. There are a number of aftermarket offerings that are available for the R56 MCS that are coated or slotted or cross drilled etc. Look around a bit!

I highly recommend Centric slotted rotors. I bought a set of the JCW slotted and drilled for my 06 JCW (it came with plain rotors) but they were expensive (of course) and now I find that for the most part, drilled rotors aren't that desireable from a performance standpoint and since Centric and StopTech are now one in the same, the Centric slotted rotors just make sense. Cryo treated is optional. They'll last a bit longer, but then they cost more as well.
