Aftermarket Wheels/Tire Rec

Hey guys. My dad has a 2010 Justa with the 15" 6-spoke wheels. He's looking to go to some either black or dark gray aftermarket 17" wheels. We'd like to keep the weight down since it's a regular Cooper and budget for wheels is around ~250/each. I'm curious as to what you all would recommend.

We're thinking about these Enkei wheels with these Bridgestone tires.

Many thanks!

Is that what you're rocking in silver there? What size do you have? How long have you had 'em, what tires, etc.? You seem to be a big fan...

17x7 et 43 I have had them for almost 2 years. Continental DWS tires. I would not use anything else as right now I live ne NE PA with snow. They are awesome in the snow, super quiet adn very smooth. When I move to Florida next month I will go with the Continental DW.

Wanting something that's light but durable, too. We have some rough back roads around here. Any other recommendations for wheels?

I use RPF1s as our track wheels. They seem quite reasonable.

Would you recommend them in 17" for everyday driving?

Any issues with them fitting on the car? What do I need to look for to ensure they'll go on with no issues?

I'd worry about the robustness of a wheel that light for everyday use.

They fit fine, they use the regular bolts. You need some centering rings, to fit to the MINI axle. I was supplied plastic which would probably work fine for everyday use. FOr track use I'd want metal and the replacement ones I got didn't quite fit and needed a little filing.

Again being in the NE we deal with lots of pot holes and frost heaves and I have never had an issue. I also make sure to rinse them after every snow fall and they still look like new.

Trust me, with MAT Technology Enkei developed a new manufacturing process to produce the next aluminum wheel generation. The Most Advanced Technology (M.A.T) combines one-piece cast wheel technology with a rim forming technology called spinning process. Using this new technology of casting and rim forming by M.A.T process, is critical to improve drastically the material property and strength of the wheels. Rim-Rolled technology shapes the rim to improve material elongation withoutsacrificing the wheels hardness.

There are NO WORRIES.
