crgteam25,
Aloha and welcome to NAM.
For those rims check the offset.
If you do not lower your MINI then you may run wheel offset from 37mm to 48mm, no problems with rubbing and either tire size should be fine for 17" diameter rim x 7.
205/45-17 is standard stock size tire but there are few good non runflat tires in that size compared to 215/45-17 and 215/40-17 (has a lower load rating but would be OK for MINI with one or two people all the time or for autocross use)
If you lower the MINI then the offset of the wheel will be less than stock about 40mm for HR and 42mm for H-sport springs or similar.
18" rims usually are 225 or 235 width and 40 or 35 series tire.

thanks for the replies!
cornering grip/ hold, hopefully better acceleration, mainly better peformance. tread life and looks are last on my list. i would however like them to look pretty good!
what tyre sizes and types do you reccomend Alex, and what offset should i get the superleggars in.
thanks!
