Anyone (Canadians, perhaps) have experience with 1010tires?

First let me say I'm a big fan of TireRack. Alex has been super helpful, and I've had my last set of tires as well as pads/rotors from TR. I plan on continuing to support them.

However, cash is tight right now and I need to get a new summer set pretty quick. Being a Canadian, I have to pay exorbitant duty/tax/shipping costs, and a set of Dunlop Direzza ZII's @ 138.00/ea (for example.) comes in at $850.

1010tires is free shipping and no duty within Canada, so while the per-tire prices are much higher, the total cost is a few hundred bucks less, depending on what I get.

Any users here ordered from them?

Good information from their tire tech section but, their prices are a little on the high side.

They are high, but not for Canada.

I actually priced out a few more sets on both sites... if I were to get the Conti DW or the Bridgestone RE760, it works out the same or a few bucks cheaper to just order from TireRack.

I've never personally used 1010 tires but have had someone recommend them.

And as someone else mentioned if you liv eclose enough to the border there are lots of shipping places that charge a small fee to have you ship the item to them then you just pick it up there. Usually works out much cheaper.

You might want to check out tiresnwheels.ca for anotehr Canadian site.
