I would like some input from anyone with experience with this tire. I've heard a lot of good things about the Azenis, but they don't come in the 17" tire sizes some of us need. Is anyone experienced (with FK-451s)?

It depends what you want to use them for.To hard for Auto X. They have a treadwear rating of 280, the Azenis have 200.

From MINI2: Link

Have learned a new respect for the 451's. Even with the miles on them, they give the car a much more comfortable ride. I can feel all the little bumps with the S-03's, much like the stock run-flats I had to drive for about 100 miles while the dealer got my centering rings. I also really gave the 451's a "wet" test. Hit standing water on the freeway outside of Portand at over 80 and they tracked great. Once the water was quite deep and just on the driver's side. Still, no problem. I will feel very confident about putting them back on after the trackdays.

I have them on my current (but not for long) car. Its a 2001 Miata. The size I am using is 215/40/16. IMHO these tires are the best tire on the market for the price. the turn-in is very quick but the sidewall is not too stiff to give too harsh of a ride. as far as grip....they are good but not the best. Keep in mind my Miata is about 300 to 400 lbs fater than the MINI. In a FR set up like the Miata it leads to some fun drifting. So I say if you are going to do alot of Auto X find something else but, for street driving get the FK 451's.

Thanks guys, I guess I should have mentioned that I'm looking more for an everyday tire, not a track-biased tire like the Azenis would be. The tread looks good on the 451, somewhat like the Yoko AVS ES100s that I had figured on getting, but, the more I hear and read, maybe is not the tire I want due to noise and treadwear expectations. I guess if anyone has any thought on how the 451 compares to the Yoko in this regard, I would love to hear.

Also, I have been considering the Toyo Proxes 4 recently. I like what I hear, but it seems like it might be a compromise too far to the all-season side. Any thoughts on any of this? I just have to get rid of these terrible Eufori@s!!
