Aloha and welcome to NAM.
On the inside of your driver's side door jam is a metal plate that has all of the different size wheels that come with MINIs and the proper tire inflations for 2 or 4 people.
Since you have 17" rims I will assume you have an MCS.
We have discussed this topic on NAM many many times before and a search will yield the answer.

For street driving stick to the numbers mentioned in that post above.
For track or autocross you might need to adjust the psi up about 3 to 5 pounds but it may vary with the temperature and your suspension upgrades. You can adjust a little for understeer by changing the pressure in front or rear tires.
