Weight of OEM Wheels

I have searched everywhere and can't find this. How much do OEM 16" 6-Star Twin Spoke wheels weigh. I found an faq on another forum that gave weights of various MINI OEM wheels but the one I am interested in knowing didn't have any weight info.

Here is the link to what I found:
http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f...factory_wheels

Any weight info on my particular wheel would be appreciated.

Have you tried weighing them? Seriously; put one on the bathroom scales, tire and all - then look up the tire weight on the Tirerack website.

Well dumb me, I didn't think of looking up the tire weight and subtracting. I wonder if a fully inflated tire weighs more that Tire Rack's published weight?

Will likely be off by amount of the balance weights....well within the error range of most scales...will get you within a pound or two....so you will atleast know if it is a "heavy" "average" or "light" rim, if not exact!
great ideas actually!!

Also remember that tires can lose 2-3 # between full tread and ready to replace.
Also, the mass of air in a tire this size at 32 psi is about 1 ounce*,
but the weight is only about 1/2 ounce if you figure for bouyancy at sea level.

*forgive me for not using slugs as the appropriate unit of mass here.
