This is my first post!

I'm currently on deployment, I'm in the US NAVY and my wife just ordered my new 04 Cooper S. I'll be ordering some aftermarket parts starting this week. Body kit, H&R coilovers, and Rims and tires to start me off. I'm looking at going with a 17X7 W/+45 offset rim, and I'm going with the NITTO NT555's in a 215-40-17 size. Any Pictures with that combo will help me out. Please post here, or drop me a line at Pellerit@wasp.navy.mil

Thanks JOHN

I'm going with the ORCIARI / PROMINI kit. Coming from a show backround I think the kit is just a little more my style. Sitting out here on the ship I spend as much time as I can surfing the net and every time I see it I like it more and more. This fourm is a good tool in finding out info.

Anyway good luck and if you find out anything on the wheel size hit me back.

Later JOHN

Just one more thing. Speaking of the ORCIARI kit, can any one tell me the cheepest place to find it ? PROMINI wants like $1,200. Anything less than that would be a big help with the budget. OH YEA, EBAY has the H&R coilovers for $899 vice PROMINI's $1,200 Just my .02

Thanks JOHN

My Cooper was lowered on H&R springs, 17" OZ Chrono EVO wheels. Tires were Continiental Conti Extreme at 215/40/17.

Dan nice look, but for some reason the front wheels look like 13". I guess it's just the picture. Dave, I looked into CC-B there price for the kit was just over $1,000

I will agree with you ALEX, they look real nice up close.

I was reading on another post today about a 205-40-18 tire. I found that Nitto has it in the Neo gen. Do you know of anyone running that combo. I can see that the outside tire circumference is like a .79 larger than the stock 205-45-17 and the side wall is smaller. Would you go with that vice the 215-35-18. after all I would think that the rubbing problem would go away on lowered MINI's

This was when i was running Nitto 450 extreme 215/40/17. The only part that I didnt like was I felt the bottom of the car was too low and I was rubbing on more things , driveway's speed bumps etc than I wanted to. Tthe other minus for me was that yes you could lower the car more but to get a narrow wheel well opening if that is the look you are going for then the car rubbed. WIth 215's The wheel well is filled nicer and the undercarriage doesnt take such a beating. This is just what I found from personal experience. Many have been happy with the 215/40 set up. I threw one current photo in with 215/45 Falken FK-241's for comparison.

Centerline RPM 17x7 rims, Bridgestone Potenza S-03 215/40-17 tires and
H-sport springs.

Next to VR MC with stock suspension and wheels.
