I am in the process of getting my wheel from silver to white,
I was going to powdercoat them, but have heard that is not a good idea to powdercoat them? the process or the powder is on good on wheel performance?

I just want some advice, which is a better way to go?

thx

I poweder coated my show wheels from sliver to a black chrome and had the lip polished with no problems that I can see and i have about 5,000 miles on them at least. The black chrome powder coat process is a tw ostage deal and doing white should be no problem at all. The powder coat is a lot more durable than basic paint from what I was able to find out with the research I did. Hope this helps a bit. I will post some before and after pictures for you.

Anthrasite definitely looks good on your car.

Powdercoat is the best way to go for wheels. Regular enamel
paint they use on cheapwheels will chip very quickly.

Randy, your car looks great, any reason why you switched lug bolts?

I think powdercoating is a good option. Not too expensive and durable.
Besides white, many more finishes are also possible so take a look at the full range before you decide.
How about White with polished lip?

I had my wheels powder coated and clear coated about a year ago. The wheels went from silver to white and I redesigned the center caps. I only use my white OZ Crono's from April through October and in that period of time (one season's use) the finish has held up pretty, one or two small chips on one wheel, that's all.
When you say your wheels were originally silver, is that a natural silver from the wheels material or is that a powder coated or painted silver, because if the silver on your original wheels is a coating you will need to have that finish bead blasted clean before powder coating. Also before you mount your newly coated wheels make sure to put a layer of wax on them, that will help make it easier to clean them when you wash the car. Another important detail for keeping the whites clean will be to put on a set of low dust brake pads
