What is the best pressure at which to keep these tires? They say max of 51psi. They came delivered with 33 psi.

51 psi max is the maximum pressure for that tire. It doesn't mean you should run that pressure.

Each car has a recommended pressure and yours is on the metal plate inside the driver's door jam. Look at the size wheels and tires you have and match how many people are in the car.

33 psi is fine for 2 people and 37 psi is fine for 4 people for the MCS with 17" wheels. Read your psi off the plate if you have the MC. You can choose something in between if you want or just run the higher number of the two in case you need to take some passengers for a ride.

I recently had my car serviced at Crevier and was surprised this morning when I checked my tire pressure and found 27psi all around. I adjusted it to 33 as per the sticker on my door. I have Pirelli 17" runflats.

A lot of dealers forget to pump the tires...including mine!

When i bought my car, it only had about 25psi.

It is amazing how much different the car feels now! I still want to get rid of the runflats and rims, though. I am exploring wheel and tire options. It seems that you can buy a decent set of tires and rims for the cost of four new runflats - And save a hundred pounds in the process!

Shouldn't a car with a 60/40 weight distribution like the Mini use a higher inflation pressure in the front than the back? Is it 33 psi all round?
