Where can I get these wheels???

Motegi FF6 16x7 +42mm offset

You guys know of any trustworthy online stores that carry these in either hyperblack, silver, or gunmental???

Also what tires would you guys recommend for these specs?

These are similar to Rota Grid rims

OK I see they are running about $135-150 each from many sources and 16x7" weigh about 16 pounds which isn't bad. The 42 offset is good for stock or lowered springs.

Remember to ask for 4x100 bolt pattern and 42 mm offset.
Also get the 16 lug nuts and 4 centering rings for the hubs if needed. The MINI's center hub opening is 56.1mm.

Sources (I have not dealed with them before)
Silver/white/gun metal on sale for $115! at

Tires-
The standard size tire would be 195/55-16 but the selection of tires in that size is rather limited at tirerack.
If you consider 205/50-16 you get a much better tire selection- just call and talk to Alex@tirerack and let him know you want some performance all season but a smooth and comfortable quiet ride as well.
Or you can ask Alex about Kumho Ecsta MX tires in
205/55-16 for $92 or 225/50-16 for $108 which are both a little larger overall tire diameter (25.1 inch)
http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=EZ3&url=/tires/tires.jsp&tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=Ecsta+MX

Other good tires from tirerack with great performance, comfort but higher prices
http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=EZ3&url=/tires/tires.jsp&tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3
205/50-16 for $137 and various other sizes
http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=EZ3&url=/tires/tires.jsp&tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+S-03+Pole+Position
205/50-16 for $152 and various other sizes

If you want to consider Toyo Proxes 4 you will have to go to another source.

How are these Motegis??? Do you know anyone who has bought Motegi rims? If so, are they pretty dependable and durable?

Not much experience with these

Sorry, I don't know of anyone that has these.
Never seen any before.
Not sure of the sources either.

Not unlike the Rota Grid in 16x7 with 40 offset (just a bit more uncertainty with fit and no rubbing if you lower the MINI). We know that 42mm offset is OK so only 2mm should be fine. Price $500 per set with free shipping and weight is 16 pounds.

Just out curiousity, once the wheel and tires are mounted, I can just throw them on myself right? As simple as taking off the stock wheels and placing the new ones on, right??? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid no brainer question, but I'm new to all of this!

Also, on a side note...Got my windows tinted today and so far, so good, except for the black dot matrix issue. Anyway to minimize them? I heard I can press on the areas after about a week or so and it'll minimize it. Also, I heard as the tint settles, they'll lessen.

just check for centering rings for your hubs

Yes, just take off your stock wheels.
Get your new wheels and make sure that the hub opening for the wheel fits the center hub of the MINI which is 56.1mm.

Some aftermarket rims have an opening that is larger than 56mm like 73.1mm and so you will need a centering ring which the wheel seller should include with the purchase. You often will have extra new lug nuts to use as well which are optional. The stock lug nuts are black painted steel and will rust with time. The new lug nuts might be chrome plated.

When you order you need to ask about centering rings for the MINI. You can tell them the centerbore for the MINI hub is 56.1mm.

For tint usually just let it settled down on the dots and if they don't then talk to your tint installer.
